When in 1932, old Kozas became the first
resident of the Stegna Beach no one could
have imagined that this place would develop
into one of the most dramatically beautiful
and secluded beach resorts on the island of
Rhodes.
From his little house, old Kozas started
serving coffee and home made snacks to
fishermen on the beach and gradually
Stegna’s first seafood restaurant began to
evolve.
In those days the beach was actually known
as “KOZAS”, although later on it took the
name Stegna because of its arid environment
(Stegna in Greek means dry).
Today, manage by grandson Domitris, the
“Stegna Kozas Seafood Restaurant” keeps
alive the tradition for fine fish dishes and
other delicious seafood.
